The giraffe spotted a tumbleweed rolling across the open plain and, out of simple curiosity, decided to follow it. It just wanted to see where the ball of dried branches would go. With its long legs and even longer stride, the giraffe kept a steady pace behind it, watching it skip and bounce in the wind. The chase felt harmless and even a little fun, something different from its usual routine.
As the tumbleweed rolled farther, the giraffe didn’t notice how much distance it had covered. The landscape gradually changed to more open dirt, and the sky had gotten darker. The giraffe kept going anyway, focused on the tumbleweed as it bounced across the ground. Eventually, a strong gust of wind lifted the tumbleweed and carried it far out of sight, leaving the giraffe standing alone in a place it didn’t recognize.
When the giraffe finally looked around, it realized it had wandered too far. It took a slow breath, turned in a full circle, and tried to remember which direction it had come from. With no tumbleweed to follow anymore, the giraffe had to rely on its own sense of direction. Step by step, it began walking back, hoping to find it’s way back again.
